It keeps drinks cold for a while great for white wine.  Also keeps drinks hot for a decent amount of time. we find it does better to keep things cold, than it does to keep tea/coffee hot.   This tumbler has a octagon design of the bottom half of the cup.  Helps from slipping out of your hands.  I find this really useful and great design.   

Washing is easy，just hand wash it. Discourage dishwasher because over time the color peel.  

Outer color is spray paint or powder coating ,where the film layer comes off and the cup becomes unsightly.  This is no different.  Also the lid rubber seals will wear out and become less tight -- so dont be lazy -- just hand wash it.   It is a very classy looking high quality tumbler.
